Trained Labor and Birth Doula
Hello hello! My name is Elisabeth. I am a native of Charleston, South Carolina but have spent the last 13 years living all across the country with my husband who’s in the US Navy. We have three children and currently live in Kailua. When I’m not wrangling my littles, I love to sing (received my Bachelor’s Degree In Vocal Performance In 2006), bargain shop, and LOVE a competitive game night with friends. BUNCO anyone?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a heart for pregnant people and have felt drawn to them even before knowing what a doula was. After the birth of my second child in 2015, I knew birth work was a path I had to pursue at some point in my life. I hired a doula at 37 weeks before the birth of my third child in February 2019. Looking back, I wish I’d hired a doula earlier in my pregnancy and with my first two children. Having a doula solidified my calling to birth work so when I found out a DONA International training was coming to the island, I jumped at the opportunity and I’m beyond grateful I did.
As your birth doula, you and your partner will see my passion for birth and unequivocal compassion for you in this season of life. You will hear me say that it’s not about me and what I want or think. I am here for you. Period. I am here to support you and help you have the birth of your dreams. Here to empower you and help you find your voice. I am here to listen and to serve and it would be a joy and an honor to work with you. Congratulations!
