Gianny Navas

Trained Labor and Birth Doula, Student Midwife

Hey, I'm Gianny! I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, alongside my fierce and loud Cuban family that moved to the U.S. in the 80's to escape communism. Since only a small portion of my family came from Cuba, I was naturally inclined to help raise my 3 younger brothers. I watched the women who raised me, and dove into my maternal role from as young as 3 years old! This is how I began loving pregnancy, children, motherhood, and everything else in between.

Being a birth doula, and becoming a midwife (CPM) is my life's calling; I love supporting mom's have an empowered, and informed birth. Whatever you decide: planned cesarean, homebirth, epidural or not, as a doula I am here to support you! My goal is to help you love your birth, while involving your loved ones as much as you'd like (we can't forget about them)!

Before deciding to join the birth community, I studied mechanical engineering for 3 years. Currently I am studying to become a Lamaze certified childbirth educator, while also in a midwifery independent study program. I am a DONA International birth doula. I speak Spanish, and love practicing ASL: since my aunt who helped raise me is deaf. My husband is in the Marines and we are lucky enough to have Oahu as our first duty station. Aside from everything birth related, I enjoy rock climbing, long-distance paddle boarding, and watching Dave Ramsey videos! On my free time, you can find me baking until I discover the Papa Johns double chocolate chip brownie recipe, or competitively trying to escape an escape room.

Everyone has their opinions on how you should or should not give birth. News flash: there is no right or wrong way, just your way. I'm so excited for your birth journey and look forward to supporting YOUR "right way" to birth! Congratulations, and thanks for reading!
