Senior Doula and Childbirth Educator
Certified Labor and Birth Doula, Certified Childbirth Educator
My journey to becoming a doula really began in 2008 with my first pregnancy, which ended in an early miscarriage. The sacred, beautiful, powerful, poignant world of birth was opened to me then and my interest and love of all things birth grew stronger through the years that passed. In that time I have brought my own 4 children into the world, and began supporting other women in their birth journeys in 2013. I completed both my DONA and Lamaze certifications in 2019, and am honored to continue learning, teaching and supporting birth.
As a doula my style is intuitive, calm and gentle. I usually know when to offer a suggestion, a piece of information or a comforting touch. . . and also when to be still and simply witness the beauty and power of a woman in labor. I have a deep respect and reverence for birth and I am a true believer in a woman's sovereignty and autonomy to give birth in whatever way SHE feels is best.
I am currently accepting doula clients with 2023 due dates through May and after July. I also teach private childbirth education sessions.
Having Jenne as our doula was the best decision we could have ever made! Jenne was such a blessing to have while I was in labor expecting our first baby. She supported me in the exact why that I needed and always matched my energy. This being our first birth, my husband and I had no idea what to expect but Jenne was there every step of the way which helped calm our nerves. Not only was she a great help for me but even for my husband which was extremely important.
It was great to have her be that second voice while I was at the hospital to double check things with the staff to ensure we kept things to my wishes and to ask the questions when the staff had recommendations so that I was fully informed. I honestly don't know how we could've made it without Jenne. Thank you so much, Jenne! She will always be our doula, and a friend! "
