Karina
Childbirth Educator
Hi, I’m Karina. I am passionate about Birth and Motherhood. I became a Birth Worker upon having the great honor to witness and assist my sister Bianca in the birth of my nieces. I went on to fulfill my DONA Doula training in New York City in 2017 with Debra Pascali-Bonaro and later became an ICEA Birth Educator in Hawaii. It is my calling to pour my heart and share energy in this realm.Â
Â
My role as a Birth keeper encompasses a full spectrum of support—from prenatal assistance to offering educational resources throughout your gestation; including teaching birthing classes, creating a birth plan, navigating the medical system, offering emotional and physical support, and attending your birth. I aim to facilitate your presence and propel your power in your laboring and birthing experience — All according to your very own wishes and vision.Â
Â
I am in awe of the mystical wonders of birth, as well as aware that when you bring a baby into this world, you are also experiencing a rebirth, deserving of reverence, care, a voice, choice, support, and protection. I also offer postpartum assistance to help you in your new life as a parent and care for you as you process your birth, which undeniably paves your way.Â
Â
I can support your journey in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.Â

I love traveling home to visit my family in Mozambique and Portugal, as well as venturing around the world. I have a devoted daily yoga and meditation practice, and I love to sit with tea. Cooking and eating worldly cuisine brings me joy and sweet nostalgia. I love surfing, nature walks, world music, and I love to dance. I care for infants in my day-to-day and guide Yoga Nidra. I enjoy reading and I am a lover of Women’s Health studies
