Aloha,

The births of my four children – all boys – have led me to find the path to birthwork. My first three were all born via cesareans. The very first one was unplanned and hit me like a ton of bricks and the subsequent ones were more or less my own decisions. My last birth however was supported by a local midwife, her assistant, and a doula and I safely birthed my baby at home.

I started "doulaing" in 2011 in Germany, however this was also the season where I was still having babies so I only attended a few births here and there. In 2016, I certified as a doula and have been following this path ever since. I have attended hundreds of births and became a licensed midwife in Hawaii in May 2024.

Ideally, giving birth is a joyful and deeply personal experience that leaves a mother and her family in awe of her strength and in love with their baby. As your doula, I feel privileged to support families through their best adventure – BIRTH. My role is to encourage and support you moving through pregnancy, labor, birth and early postpartum. Many of my doula clients become lifelong friends, and seeing them flourish as parents and witnessing their babies grow into children brings me absolute joy!
